Post 5 — New Features
Hope you all are doing great! This is part 5 of a 10 part blog series being released over the coming days. You can check out previous posts on this medium account if you missed them. These blogs with explore our past and take a look at everything the project has done so far, check out what we are up to now, as well as talk about the future vision for the project. Those that have been following our project for a while know about a lot of the things we have been working on the past few months. Most of the things below are mostly finished, but still need some finishing touches before they are fully ready for released. We are in the process of on boarding some extra developers to help speed up and streamline the process and hope to have all of these things out in the next couple months. Soon after these are released, we will release a new road map for the project. I will talk about some of this in another blog about our future vision in a couple days, but here are the things we have been working on recently.
*Issue new contract for the DEX that includes new UX updates, automated portal payouts, and more!
As most of you know, we have been trying to get this new smart contract released for a little while and have been a bit behind. We really hope to get it fully released in June, which will allow most of these other features to really roll out quickly.
*Launch all DEX portals as IPFS + .eth ENS
With IPFS + .eth domain names the DEX network is truly unstoppable and can not be shut down by a domain name provider, hosting company, etc. You can find an example of this at https://switchdex.eth using a browser that supports and a wallet like MetaMask. Soon we will update all portals to regular domains as well as ENS names.
*Add SwitchDex contract to Switch.ag
Right now, Switch.ag is set up with exchanges such as Kyber, UniSwap, Bancor, and other exchanges. As soon as we release the new DEX smart contract we will be able to add it to Switch.ag allowing hundreds of new tokens and liquidity options, as well as any token will be able to list on Switch instantly and for free by placing sell orders on the DEX network.
*Switch Instant Widget and White Label
We have developed a widget that anyone with a blog, website etc can add and allow their visitors to swap between currencies while collecting a small % of each trade in the process. We will also allow anyone to white label Switch.ag. Our first example of this is McAfeeSwap.com.
*On chain gambling games on Switch
We are developing several simple but fun and addiction provably fair smart contract based gambling games for Switch. You will be able to bet with a variety of tokens, with instant and trust-less payouts.
*New airdrop system for fee distribution
For the last 15 months or so we have distributed the fees from the products to our token holders via an airdrop in ETH on the first of each month. We are in the process of releasing a new airdrop system that instead of us having to airdrop the fees every month, it will allow token holders to access their fees in real time any time they want and withdraw them to their wallet. This will make the process much more efficient.
*Atomic Swaps
Soon after we release the new smart contract for the DEX network we will release features for atomic swaps for BTC, BCH, ETH, and GHOST! This will allow the DEX to much more flexible in the types of traders we can attract and the over all volume and users we will be able to achieve. It will also open the door for us to add other chains in the short term future. This will be a really exciting addition to our existing products.
*Documentary — Exiled, John McAfee On The Run.
Last year I flew to the Bahamas to meet up with John McAfee to talk about life on the run from the US government, crypto currency, privacy and a lot more! We plan to release a documentary soon that highlights Johns run from the law, his 2020 presidential campaign, and his views on life, crypto currency, privacy, and more. Check out the trailer here.
Part 6 of this blog series will be released tomorrow and will be dedicated to the DAO/governance feature we are planning to release later this year. This will give our token holders the ability to vote on decisions within the project, and a lot of over cool things!
